The Best AR Glasses Accessory You Can’t Buy (Yet) // @rayneo_global Pocket TV 2

This gadget wasn't on sale in the West in April 2026, and it barely had a name. The RayNeo Pocket TV 2 (also listed as "Magic Box 2" for TCL Thunderbird glasses) is basically a portable Fire TV with a battery for your AR glasses. I got one early in China, and as far as I could find, nobody else had reviewed it yet.

How I got it

Thanks to Julie, a friend I met in Xiamen, who ordered me the combo of RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses plus this box. I paid roughly €280 in total. Later I saw the box alone on AliExpress for about €159, so the combo was probably a Chinese offer.

What it is

It's a battery pack with a brain: a 4,000 mAh battery, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, expandable up to 2 TB with an SD card, so you can load movies, photos and files. It runs an operating system called Pocket OS, which reminded me of Netflix's interface. You control it with what RayNeo calls FlyTouch: you point the device like a remote, with a cursor, and swipe, press and double-tap. There's even a training mode, in Chinese, that teaches you the moves.

The packaging is minimal, Apple-style, and the box has a reassuring weight. No cables are included: you use the one that comes with the glasses. It has an SD slot, an action button, a central touch area, up/down buttons, a power button and two USB-C ports, one for the glasses (I also connected it to an external monitor and it worked) and one for charging.

The software, for now

In settings you'll find your RayNeo account, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, brightness, sound and firmware updates. I searched everywhere for English, but there isn't any yet. A Chinese friend of mine who works with me at the UN contacted RayNeo on WeChat, and they said the firmware is so new that English is still to come.

There's a file and NAS-style section to browse what's on your SD card, a browser, and lots of Chinese video apps. Many work out of the box (with ads at the start), some need a Chinese ID or phone number. I couldn't install YouTube or other European apps. Once that's possible, it will be fully functional.

Would I buy it again?

Yes. I love tech and I love travelling, and being able to carry an SD card full of my movies and music, plug in the glasses and go anywhere opens up a lot of possibilities. I read on forums that developers are working on everyday apps for it. Paired with the Air 4 Pro, it's worth the hype.
